Roll Order List of Successful Candidates for
Press Note
Based
on the results of Engineering Services Examination, 2007 held by the UNION
PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION in June 2007 and the interviews for Personality Test
held in March, 2008, the following are the lists, in order of merit, of
candidates who have been recommended for appointment to –
i)
Civil Engineering Group;
ii)
Mechanical Engineering Group;
iii)
Electrical Engineering Group; and
iv)
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Group.

A total number of 304 candidates
recommended for appointment in these four lists include 139 General, 89 Other
Backward Classes, 52 Scheduled Castes and 24 Scheduled Tribes (including 05
candidates belonging to Physically Handicapped category).

Appointments will be made according to
the number of vacancies available and keeping in view the amended Rules and with
due consideration to the provisions contained in rule 5(b) and 16 of the rules
for the examination relating to restrictions on the eligibility of candidates
admitted to the examination under age concession and allotment of candidates to
various services according to ranks obtained and preference of services
expressed by them. The number of vacancies reported by the Govt. for Group
‘A’ posts’ to be filled in for Civil Engineering Group is 168 (97
General, 33 Other Backward Classes, 27 Scheduled Castes, 11 Scheduled Tribes
& these include 01 vacancy for PH-1 candidate; for Mechanical Engineering
Group is 87 (47 General, 23 Other Backward Classes, 13 Scheduled Castes and 04
Scheduled Tribes and these includes 03 vacancies (02 for PH-1 and 01 for PH-3
candidates); for Electrical Engineering Group is 45 (22 General, 12 Other
Backward Classes, 06 Scheduled Castes and 05 Scheduled Tribes and for
Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering Group is 52 (28 General, 14
Other Backward Classes, 06 Scheduled Castes, 04 Scheduled Tribes and these
include 01 vacancy for PH-3 candidate).

In accordance with Rule 13 (iv) and (v) of the Engineering Services
Examination Rules 2007, the Commission is maintaining a consolidated
Reserve List of candidates for each group as under:
(i) Civil
Engineering Group: 82 candidates, which include 41
General, 34 Other Backward Classes, 05 Scheduled Castes & 02
Scheduled Tribes candidates
(ii) Mechanical
Engineering Group: 04 candidates, which include 02
General, 02 Other Backward Classes candidates.
(iii) Electrical
Engineering Group: 10 candidates, which include 05
General, 04 Other Backward Classes and 01 Schedule Caste
candidates.
(iv) Electronics
& Telecommunication Engineering Group: 14 candidates
which include 07 General, 06 Other Backward Classes & 01
Scheduled Tribe candidates

Union Public Service Commission has a ‘Facilitation Counter’ near
Examination Hall Building in its Campus. Candidates may
obtain any information/ clarification regarding their Examination/ recruitments
on working days between 10:00 A.M. and 05:00 P.M. in person or over Telephone
Nos.23385271 and 23381125 from this Counter. The result will
also be available on the U.P.S.C. Website i.e. www.upsc.gov.in
7. The marks would be available on the website www.upsc.gov.in after ten days from the date of publication of results for a period of thirty days. Candidates can access the marks after keying (i) the Roll Number and (ii) the date of birth. Hard copy of the mark sheet would be issued to the candidate on a specific request received with self-addressed envelope duly affixed with stamps, within a period of thirty days.
