Schedule : IAS 2009 Preparation Schedule

July - September 2008: Prepare the second optional (optional only for the mains)

October- December 2008: Prepare GS for both mains and prelims. Prepare the first optional for mains. Develop essay writing skills.

January - May 2009: Prepare the first optional and GS for prelims but with an eye on the mains.

June - August 2009: After the prelims, prepare the second optional for mains. Prepare GS for mains.

September - October 2009: Intensive preparation for the mains

After the mains, continue preparation for the interview and  for 2010 prelims.

sir / mam iam +2 student i want clear IAS examination i know i have to first of all complete my graduation.. that's the basic elegibility for IAS exam. i want to do b.tech either from any good institute or through SCRA .. but my final goal is to become an IAS officer .. could someone help me out and suggest do am going on a right track..? and please suggest me the way i should adopt to work for having sucess in future.. as am too young iam not having enough information about the path i should follow to reach my destination .. but yes iam having the will power.. please sum one help me.

hey i m in 2nd yr of engg..i read abt planning strategy for CSE with one yr in hand on internet..according to that, u have to first complete optional 2 in 3-4 months..and then optional 1 and gs together for 4-5 months...then revision.. i would like to ask u one thing....how did u decided abt subjects to chose? u hav decided to take both arts subjects..none from ur engg course..do u think that is a wise decision?

take subjects of ur interest.....i m also a student of engg...i have decided to go with civil engg as one and geography or sociology as other subject..because civil engg is my graduation subject..that helps in preparing one subject ...and i have a lot of interest in maps and civics...so i am a bit confused between these two...i am analysing the question papers of these subjects and their syllabi....i suggest the same methodology for you...it will definitely help...just try once..
