Naval Academy Ezhimala(NAVAC) is located at in the Kannur (Cannanore) District of Kerala, which forms a part of its North Malabar Region. Nestled between the imposing Mount Dilli, serene Kavvayi backwaters and majestic Arabian Sea, NAVAC provides an idyllic setting for training with its picturesque and tranquil environment. This is the premier training establishment of the Indian Navy and will conduct the basic training for all officers being inducted into the Indian Navy under various schemes. INS Zamorin is the base depot ship for administrative and logistic support for NAVAC.

UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS:

1 .(Ref.No.F.1/292/2009-R-V)One Professor(Electrical & Electronics Engineering) in Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Ministry of Defence(Navy).
The post is also suitable for persons with disability viz Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with OL(One Leg affected).

Qualifications : Essential : Educational :
A- For Engineering Discipline :
i) Ph.D Degree with the first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Mechatronics).
ii) Ten years’ experience in teaching/industry/ research out of which five years’ must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/or equivalent.

B- For Candidates from Industry and Profession:
Master’s Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Mechatronics) with professional work, which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D Degree and with ten years Industrial/Professional experience of which at least five years’ should be at a senior level comparable to that of Professor would also be eligible.
Desirable : Administrative experience in a responsible position.
Duties : He/She will be required to conduct classes, develop curriculum, prepare learning resource material, student guidance and counselling and assist students in Laboratory work. Besides, he/she will be required to work in the area of research and consultancy as well as administrative duties as required by the Principal.

2.(Ref.No.F.1/294/2009-R-V)One Assistant Professor(Computer Science Engineering) in Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Ministry of Defence(Navy). The post is also suitable for persons with disability viz Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with OL(One Leg affected).

 Qualifications : Essential : Educational :
A- For Engineering Discipline :
i) Ph.D Degree with the first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in the Computer Science Engineering with three years’ experience in Teaching/Industry/Research at the level of Lecturer or equivalent. OR First class Degree at Master’s level in the Computer Science Engineering with five years’ experience in teaching/industry at the level of lecturer or equivalent. Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D Degree within a period of seven years’ from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor.

B- For Candidates from Industry and Profession :
First class Bachelor’s Degree/first class Master’s Degree in the Computer Science Engineering AND professional work which is significant and can be recognized as equivalent to Ph.D Degree with five years’ Industrial/Professional experience would also be eligible.

Duties : Same as in Item No.2 above.

3. (Ref.No.F.1/293/2009-R-V)One Assistant Professor(Control & Instrumentation Engineering) in Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Ministry of Defence(Navy).

Qualifications : Essential : Educational :
A- For Engineering Discipline :

Such candidates will be required to obtain Ph.D Degree within a period of seven years’ from the date of appointment as Assistant Professor.

Qualifications: Essential: Educational: First class Bachelor’s Degree in the Electronics & Communication Engineering OR first class Master’s Degree in the Electronics & Communication Engineering.
Duties : Same as in Item No.2 above.

5 .(Ref.No.F.1/296/2009-R-V) One Lecturer (control & Instrumentation Engineering) in Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Ministry of Defence (Navy).
The post is reserved for OBC candidates. The post is also suitable for persons with disability viz Orthopaedically Handicapped/Locomotor Disability/Cerebral Palsy with OL(One Leg affected).

Qualifications: Essential: Educational:
First class Bachelor’s Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering OR First class Master’s Degree in Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
Duties: Same as in Item No.2 above.
